Responsible – The Happy You Company creates vegan and cruelty-free products with skin-friendly, planet-friendly and marine-friendly care, using as many organic and responsibly sourced natural ingredients as possible. For some products they draw upon naturally derived ingredients or ingredients that are nature identical (like Vitamin B3), blending technology and nature.
Paper and cardboard are their preferred types of packaging, but they decide on a product-by-product basis which type of packaging will best protect it, meaning sometimes a blend of glass, tin, post-consumer recycled and recyclable plastic, and cardboard is used. The company started their own Happy Earth Recycling Program to help close the loop when it comes to packaging.
The Happy You Company are members of 1% for the Planet, and also work together with organisations such as; Thread Together, Humane Society International and OzHarvest.
The initial scent of this is pleasing. The texture doesn’t ‘ball’ up and after some warming up on a flat surface, the product can glide on easy. Using ingredients in their natural state, or as close to their natural state as possible, is imperative to reduce manufacturing, and therefore our carbon footprint. This company seem to care about the customer’s experience as much as their impact on the land and seas.
I’ve never used a natural deodorant before so I was a little sceptical, but this was super nice to use! Didn’t leave a tacky or sticky feeling after applying and lasted really well!
I love the fact this one is bicarb soda heavy. I personally am not a huge fan of essential oil-scented products, so this suited me far better. I haven’t used too many paste-based deodorants before and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to apply and how effective the product was. The brand’s introduction of the Happy Earth Recycling Program is also hugely impressive.
With a fresh earthy citrus scent, I like how this gives extra strength – truly lasting all day, without giving irritation. It’s nice to not have to use your fingers to apply, I’m a big fan of the compostable tube packaging.
Despite not being male, I’m a huge fan of this deodorant for myself! I love how smoothly it glides on, leaving absolutely no residue on clothing. The scent is very unisex. The deodorant itself is super effective and long-lasting. My husband is also a big fan: “I like the simple, clean packaging,” he says. “The deodorant really does the job.” We’re both major fans of the biodegradable tube.
