Responsible – VATÉA sources coconut oil from Rotuma, which is a unique organic island 450km North of Fiji. The island has been organic for approximately 10 years and VATÉA has been supporting the island in their quest to become the first ever Certified Organic island. The island became organic due to the scarcity of fresh water and the need to ensure toxic pesticides, herbicides and fungicides did not enter the water table thereby ensuring water purity. The purpose is to encourage young people to stay on the island by providing them with an income through farming, in order to maintain the sense of unity amongst the islanders.

I liked that this oil comes in a pump bottle and emulsifies into a gentle lather, giving a luxurious feeling clean. My skin felt beautifully hydrated after using this.
A seriously luxurious cleansing oil for the body. My dry winter skin really appreciates this as I still have a residual layer of nourishing oils over my skin after drying. Such a great time saver in the mornings, there’s time to rub in a body oil too!
This is a beautiful and nourishing shower oil. The pump action bottle makes it easy to dispense into my hands so I can then massage it onto my skin until it builds into a soft lather before rinsing off to reveal clean, soft and glowing skin.
Oh wow, this beautiful body wash is just divine. It glides onto the skin, cleaning and soothing my entire body. Really lovely to use after exfoliating. And I just love the story behind the sourcing of the coconut oil: a wonderful self-care product that gives back too.
