Responsible – VATÉA sources coconut oil from Rotuma, which is a unique organic island 450km North of Fiji. The island has been organic for approximately 10 years and VATÉA has been supporting the island in their quest to become the first ever Certified Organic island. The island became organic due to the scarcity of fresh water and the need to ensure toxic pesticides, herbicides and fungicides did not enter the water table thereby ensuring water purity. The purpose is to encourage young people to stay on the island by providing them with an income through farming, in order to maintain the sense of unity amongst the islanders.
VATÉA supports the Women in Business and Development of Samoa by purchasing their soaps and including it in their VATÉA Baby Dream Gift Box including the Gentle Baby Balm.
I liked that it was soap and sulphate free whilst the all natural formula still thoroughly cleansed and hydrated my skin. The oils created a nice subtle scent which left my skin clean and refreshed.
In the age of obsessive hand cleaning, you really want a handwash or soap that nourishes at the same time as cleans. This lovely hand wash contains a beautiful blend of natural ingredients including aloe, coconut oil and lavender, and leaves hands feeling clean and soft. I adore the story behind the sourcing of the coconut oil.
I love that this is antibacterial and antimicrobial at the same time as being all-natural, organic and free of toxins. Great for the whole family to wash their hands with after coming through the door.
