Responsible –All ingredients in Vanessa Megan products are 100% natural – zero synthetics and 100% plant-based formulations. The products are handmade in Sydney, have at least 70% certified organic ingredients, are cruelty-free and packaged in recyclable cardboard.
The Australian Natural Beauty Co has introduced the use of recycled plastic packaging tubes, with all-new products making the switch. Their unit cartons are without polypropylene coating, enabling them to be recycled, alongside their office paper which is printed on both sides before being recycled.
There’s an incredible combination of natural ingredients in this serum: Bearberry, Kakadu Plum and Emu Apple. As someone who has both pigmentation and fading acne scars, the Kakadu Plum works to fade both, while Bearberry brightens. Easy to apply and immediately absorbed by the skin, I can see dark patches fade after one week’s use, my skin looks brighter and feels smoother. A little drying for me (most likely due to the highly concentrated Vit C) so I will continue to use it with a face oil.
The aloe vera and rose water base helps this featherlight serum penetrate beautifully, and leaves my skin hydrated and happy. It contains an impressive line up of brighteners and is a joy to use. The packaging is elegant and the formulas are clever.
As someone with sensitive skin, I liked that this serum soothed, hydrated and absorbed nicely into it without an oily feeling. I think it’s a great initiative to utilise recycled plastic in order to reduce the environmental damage to our oceans, as Vanessa Megan has done.
A plumping, highly absorbable and hydrating serum. I love that this serum is gentle enough to use daily and that it is in a dark glass bottle. (UV inactivates vitamin C – so definitely avoid these serums in clear glass!)
I liked the product’s packaging and the brand’s commitment to using as many certified organic ingredients as possible without compromising the product’s efficacy.
