Responsible – The Hemp Lady Skincare’s core focus is on sustainable, organic and pure ingredients. All their products are cruelty-free, sourced locally or within Australia, with the exception of their unrefined organic shea which comes from Ghana and is fair trade. For the non-vegan range, The Hemp Lady source beeswax from their local bee keeper.
Australian organic hemp oil and seeds are used in The Hemp Lady’s products. Hemp is a non-toxic, biodegradable wonder plant that can rejuvenate soils, sequester CO2 from the atmosphere and has great anti-inflammatory properties for skin health.
All products are handmade in small batches to ensure quality and reduce waste. Plastic is foregone, with Miron Violet glass used for packaging instead. The Hemp Lady support Landcare Australia and are constantly searching for new and innovative ways to further reduce their footprint.
I absolutely love the smell and feel of this product! It has such a lovely faint mango smell and really feels like butter melting into my skin. The packaging is solid and easy to use, and I don’t have any fears of it leaking when I am travelling with it.
A deliciously sweet smelling, truly luxurious body butter. My dry winter skin was calling out for this level of extreme moisture and this beauty truly hits the spot. Hemp seed oil is high in omega 3 fatty acids and helps create a protective barrier over the skin. Just lovely.
I love the mousse-like, fluffy texture of the body butter. I also like that it’s in a glass tub and has minimal ingredients – all that are natural and smell amazing! I also value that the ingredients are either sourced locally or in Australia and are all cruelty-free and fair trade. All the packaging was eco-friendly and the moisturiser was in a recyclable glass bottle.
A lovely, nourishing body butter that smells delicious enough to eat. Really easy to apply (a little goes a long way!) and my dehydrated, dried out skin feels super moisturised after use.
I really love the scent of this product, the weight and texture of it, how nourishing and soft it makes my skin feel and how quickly it sinks into my skin. I was also delighted to read that The Hemp Lady offers vegan options in her range, and works with a local beekeeper for her beeswax. I’ll be looking into this brand more!
