Responsible – Raw Nature is an Auckland-based, family-run company that was created by a mother for her daughters so they wouldn’t need to expose their bodies to toxic-chemical laden cosmetic products.
Their products are 100% natural, certified cruelty-free and wrapped in cardboard. No plastic is used. The company also donates 50c from each sale to New Zealand charity Sustainable Coastlines, which works to protect the seas, coastlines and wildlife.
This lip balm comes in a cute zero waste tube and tastes of strawberries (kind of reminds me of my lip smacker days!) It’s lovely and buttery thanks to ingredients of coconut oil and beeswax. I adore that a percentage of profits goes to sustaining the NZ coastline.
Best smell! Exceptional texture and consistency. Made in New Zealand is music to my ears! Their simple use of ingredients also aligns with my values of simplicity and less is more – particularly makes me comfortable knowing exactly what is in the product.
The ultimate non-toxic, eco-friendly version of the super sweet strawberry lip balm you loved as a tween. My young daughter is obsessed with this. Super nourishing and hydrating.
This sweetly-scented balm melts onto the lips without any stickiness left behind. The packaging is clearly green and simple and the colour palette adds a youthful playfulness. The compact size makes it very handy. Their consistent program of philanthropy is impressive and adherence to eco-packaging practices is to be respected.
I enjoyed the slight scent of strawberries with this lip balm. Raw Nature donates with each sale to NZ sustainability and their main focus seems to be on the environment, which I really appreciate.
