Responsible – Nina is the beekeeper in the Blue Mountains behind the Nina’s Bees skincare range. She’s extremely passionate about bees and follows national organic guidelines for beekeeping, as well as being actively involved in the rescue of and education around bees.
Nina works closely with Native Oils of Australia to source single origin, Australian-grown native essential oils and natural ingredients for her products, and to create zero waste in the process. She chooses 100% recyclable packaging for all Nina’s Bees products, including cardboard boxes, aluminium tins and paper.
A small amount of this product goes a long way. I liked that it was easy to use, can be applied to elbows or other dry areas, and isn’t too greasy. The personal brand story will really resonate with any nature lover, in turn making the product seem familiar and reliable. The scent is subtle but distinct, and the packaging quite nostalgic.
This hand balm was a godsend! I have super dry hands (they often crack and scale due constant use of hand sanitiser) and this rejuvenated my hands within days of use! Super impressed. I love that Ninas Bees works hard to promote the reduction of your carbon footprint. It’s really important (more now than ever) that people are self-aware enough to understand the environmental impact they have on this Earth.
I really enjoyed the storytelling aspect of this product. Learning about the inspiration behind the Hand Balm really helped to paint a picture of the ideal consumer and how this one would bridge the gap between masculine skincare and sustainability. It’s clear that the ethos of sustainability flows through all aspects of the operation and it’s through passionate producers like Nina’s Bees that the important role which bees play in our daily lives is slowly being brought to public attention. The locally sourced aspect truly resonated with me and I’d love to see more products come out of the Blue Mountains.
A potent balm of moisturising and healing oils, perfect after a hard day’s work. With ingredients carefully chosen for their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties as well as to soothe and protect the skin, this absorbs so well. Highly recommended.
Both my husband and I are huge fans of this unique and effective hand balm. Firstly we love the scent of clary sage combined with honey. The balm feels divine between the fingers and even better when rubbed into the fronts and backs of our hands. Not at all greasy, despite being potent. This really is a winning unisex self-care product in the year of relentless handwashing and hand-sanitising.
