Responsible – KiddiKutter products are used by therapists to help children with eating issues as well as in schools and cooking classes worldwide to enable children to be more included in food preparation and cooking. Already a registered NDIS supplier, KiddiKutter is now bringing to market an equally exceptional product for adults with disabilities and the elderly. Inspired by her son who suffered a near-death car crash three years ago, KiddiKutter’s founder is driven by wanting to help people retain their independence.
KiddiKutter is ethically produced in China without the use of underage workers and following appropriate ethical work practices. KiddiKutter supports the GBV Charitable Trust whose mission is to break the cycle of rape, sex trafficking, infant and child pornography, child prostitution, and all other forms of violence and abuse in Kenya.
Manufactured with recyclable ingredients, KiddiKutter is also a reusable product and with each sale, the company is winning the war on single-use plastic cutlery.
How good is it that the KiddiKutter doesn’t cut fingers! I love that the kids can get involved in the kitchen with me, especially since my son is so fussy with vegetables. The kids enjoy helping create meals. I love that it can be used left or right-handed and is dishwasher safe. Also that it is produced using recyclable ingredients.
The knife blade is very blunt making it safe for little fingers. The blade is also longer than other children’s knives which helps with practising cutting. My daughter loves using her knife when helping me prepare food and as a tool for detailed play dough creations.
My three year old straight away leapt at the chance to use the KiddiKutter knife and was really happy to be able to participate in mealtime preparation. He felt confident and proud of himself.
My children love helping me cook and I really think it helps them to engage with their food and eat more of their main meals. Kiddikutter knives have been a huge hit in our household allowing even my 2.5-year-old son to cut up veggies. It requires more of a firm sawing action as it isn’t sharp but it does the job and seeing the pride in his face at having been able to do it all by himself is worth everything.
This is such a fantastic and much-needed product – wish I knew about it sooner! My four-year-old has been using a small knife since he was two and I feel that this is a wonderful progression for him so that he can cut meat and tougher veggies. Really easy for him to hold and he loves the bright colour. Looking forward to my 2-year-old eventually using it too!
