Responsible – Honua’s collaboration with Saltwater Tribe donates 5% profit from each sale to Tangaroa Blue Foundation to support their work tackling marine debris. Honua are working towards being a zero-waste company. Compostable satchels and labels are used for all online orders. All wholesale orders are packaged in cardboard only (mostly recycled cartons) and no plastic packaging is used.
The company tries to support local businesses where possible for printing and labelling and prefer to use recycled products. The team is focused on reducing/reusing/recycling and have a compost bin in the studio for scraps. They are part of the team at SO Shire (Sustainable Organisations of the Sutherland Shire), a community-driven network of individuals, businesses and organisations all working together for a sustainable Shire.
Loving the lid design, the feel of the bottle is amazing, it’s 100% recyclable, and they donate a percentage to Tangaroa Blue Foundation. Also, love the minimal packaging which is all reusable/recyclable.
What I liked most about the Honua Kids Drink Bottle is the design and colour scheme. The whale etching is very detailed and beautifully illustrated – definitely not the textbook children’s bottle style. The steel seems unlikely to scratch and has survived some hearty car drives, deep in the baby bag.
It’s fairly sturdy and hard-wearing whilst still being forgivingly light. The material it is made from is long-lasting and the neutral colouring is appealing. The image of the whale links nicely to the brand’s mission.
This is a fantastic bottle for both younger and older kids. I love the lid in that the mouthpiece doesn’t need to be touched to be used. The twist stop stays attached therefore can’t get lost. It also has an easy carry loop, scratch-proof coating and gorgeous design.
What a delightful product for both kids and adults. I love the etching of marine life, a manta ray, on the side. The screw lid is easy for my 4-year old to remove though would be hard for toddlers to navigate. We love that it’s completely leak proof. Best of all, 5% profit from each sale goes to Tangaroa Blue Foundation to support their work tackling marine debris.
