Responsible – Linii Tasmania won an Innovative Environment Award in 2016 for its use of waste that was created by the Native Forest Timber Industry and was being burnt in very inefficient ways. All collection of Huon Pine is from fallen timber only and Linii Tasmania has so far removed over 20 tons of waste from existing production methods.
All packaging is purchased through Australian owned businesses, recycled packaging is used where possible and a certified carbon neutral courier service delivers 90% of their products to customers.
Operationally, Linii Tasmania makes considered efforts to minimise its waste and energy consumption, and provides rewarding, sustainable and enjoyable employment for people with a disability on the North West Coast.
This was my first time learning about Huon Pine and I was really excited to try it. I found the scent was really refreshing and not overpowering at all. Reading the brand’s Social Responsibility Statement also really excited me, Linii has really thought about so many different elements in their business and aligns with my personal values on so many levels!
I love that this Huon Pine Mist spray is a natural option to keep away moths in linen. The spray is woodsy, but not too overpowering. And I love that this product uses waste that would otherwise be burned.
If you have been to Tasmania you would have had the chance to understand the importance of Huon Pine. If not, I hope you get to visit this beautiful place and enjoy these very special, majestic trees. This lovely spray evokes the smell of old growth rainforest and makes you feel that you are in the Apple Isle. It is wonderful as a room spray and I’m excited to use it as a natural mothball solution. Thank you for capturing this unique smell.
A beautiful, natural safe way to deter moths and silverfish and also keep linen smelling fresh. I’m so relieved to find this product as it meets all my non-toxic ingredient needs but also packs a punch where needed. I’m moving house currently and so much is being put in and out of storage, I’m reaching for this all the time. Delightfully fresh and earthy smelling, this should be in every house.
Upon misting this spray, I’m transported to the temperate rainforest of South West Tasmania. What’s wonderful about it is the scent lingers on linen and clothing for days, as well as in the air of my home. But best of all: it repels dust mites (I have a dust mite allergy!) On top of all this, the company is doing wonderful things to protect the native Huon pine forests of Tasmania.
