Their packaging is glass and cardboard, both locally made ensuring minimal carbon footprint with travel.
The organic green tea is single origin fair trade from Sri Lanka, and the spring water is from Lidsdale NSW, where the source is abundant and harvested sustainably ensuring more water is fed than taken. The lemon myrtle herb is sourced from an organic grower in Lorne NSW.
Herbs of Life ferment their kombucha with four key ingredients; good water, mother SCOBY, cane sugar, and tea. No sweeteners, no forced carbonation, no dilution, no pasteurisation.
I loved the floral taste, the label, and the use of Australian lemon myrtle. The kombucha has a real homely presence to it, and it is so nice to enjoy the flavour without synthetic sweeteners that most others use. The subtle lemon myrtle is delicious!
The lemon flavours are beautifully brewed in this kombucha. A light aroma and a slightly bitter aftertaste make this drink refreshing, but a bit sour if you are not used to drinking sugarless beverages.
I love that Herbs of Life traditionally brew their kombucha. It tastes just like homemade kombucha, and you can really tell they don’t add artificial flavourings to it!
Tangy, sweet, fruity and flavoursome. Absolutely delicious! So moreish it’s hard to believe it’s still healthy. Sweet enough to be enjoyed by both adults and children alike.
I love that this one has been brewed using an Australian botanical ingredient and I especially love the subtlety of the flavour, not too sweet or sickly. The perfect, cooling summer drink. Love the glass bottle.
