Responsible – As a young company created by two mothers, Being Skincare considers sustainability and social-conscience as integral to the business. The range has been created with minimisation of waste at the forefront, by formulating products that are all-purpose. Products are packaged in reusable glass jars to minimise the use of plastic. Products are then placed in a 100% cotton reusable drawstring bag to minimise the use of unnecessary boxes or packaging and thank you cards are printed on Envirocare 100% Recycled Digital paper.
During production, the company re-use and recycle all of the packagings that raw ingredients arrive in. They make everything by hand, ensuring that only minimal waste is created during the production process. This includes water-use and utilising reusable manufacturing equipment where safe and appropriate, as well as single-use equipment that is manufactured from earth-friendly, recycled or biodegradable materials. Being Skincare proudly supported several charities during the recent bushfire crisis.
I absolutely loved this product. Little Miss J (10 months old) had terrible nappy rash and this cream really helped. The smell was beautiful and the texture was lovely, non-greasy and nourishing. I identify with their Social Responsibility Statement, given I’m also a mother and trying to run a small sustainable business.
I adore the aroma of this balm. It has a beautiful blend of coconut and herbs which makes it such a pleasure to use every day. I found it to have the perfect texture to use as a nappy barrier, but also as a moisturiser for Charlie’s whole body. We created a beautiful ritual of moisturising his whole body after each bath using the balm. I love the all-natural ingredients and the way the herbs add extra beneficial properties such as anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
I equally loved the aesthetic of the packaging and the product itself. I love creating ritual in my life and investing in beautiful products that by design make you feel like the small moments are special and luxurious. Every part of this product, from the canvas bag with a gorgeous logo print on it, the black and white card with a personalised note, and the jar and quality of the product makes me enjoy using it on my babies bottom. I have used this product on other red marks on her body and it definitely helps reduce the red and with regular use, they disappear.
I always reach for this balm at bedtime as I put my son’s nappy on as the soft scent of lavender and chamomile really sets the mood for sleep. Silky to the touch, this melts into his skin and just feels so soothing and nourishing. I also find the calming scent and soothing ingredients really helpful after falls and to rub on insect bites which are keeping him up in the night.
This is such a divine product: beautifully presented in an amber glass jar, it has a subtle, sweet and buttery scent, and feels great between the fingertips. Contains a winning combination of beeswax, herbs and oils to protect, soothe and heal. Glides onto baby’s skin and does a wonderful job of protecting him against nappy rash. Soothes and heals a red bottom.
