Responsible – Created by parents for parents, Rascal + Friends’ social responsibility starts with their brand vision: to provide premium, no nasties baby products, at an affordable price – making them accessible to a broader range of families. The wipes’ ingredient list, the role of each ingredient and its Environmental Working Group (EWG) rating are readily available to read on both their packaging and website. They have formulated their wipes with 50% plant-based ingredients and packaged them in a way that limits wastage, ensuring that only one wipe comes out at a time.
Rascal + Friends use events and social media platforms to fundraise for New Zealand’s Starship Children’s Hospital and Australia’s Jeans for Genes charities. Additionally, they made monetary donations to the Australian Red Cross and WIRES charities during the Australian Bushfire Crisis 2019 – 2020, as well as donating nappies to various relief organisations. Globally, they have donated over 343,500 nappies worldwide to various charitable organisations. They have also made donations to Black Lives Matter and The National Black Doulas Association.
Honestly, most parents I know use Huggies as the benchmark for nappies, regardless of how much they like the idea of nappies that are more eco-friendly. Rascal + Friends nappies are just as effective but made from materials that are better for the earth and for our babies’ bottoms.
Rascal + Friends really impressed me with their commitment to creating a non-toxic high quality nappy that is designed to avoid unwanted explosions. Our little one seemed comfortable in them and I felt confident to be using safe materials on his skin. I have also loved learning how honest and transparent Rascal + Friends are as a brand and their commitment to always improving with the materials they use in their products. It is great to see they are vegan and heartwarming to see their generous donations and support for their local communities.
I love the absorbency for both day and night time, and the stretchy sides. We had no issues with using these nappies, they seem very reliable and there was no leaking which is always a win. Rascal + Friends seem to be ticking all of the boxes as far as providing an affordable, better-quality, non-toxic option to the mainstream nappy brands.
I really appreciate that Rascal + Friends now fully disclose their materials and I am very impressed with all I have read and the effort they have gone to, to secure independent testing and certifications showing their nappies are non-toxic. These nappies are soft, fit well and have multiple innovations to reduce leakages.
I’ve used these nappies quite a bit already. I remember feeling so pleased to finally find a decent and affordable non-toxic alternative alongside the bigger supermarket brands! These nappies are soft and absorbent and last the night on bub. I really like that they use water-based inks and pulp from sustainable forests.
