Responsible – VATÉA sources coconut oil from Rotuma, which is a unique organic island 450km North of Fiji. The island has been organic for approximately 10 years and VATÉA has been supporting the island in their quest to become the first-ever Certified Organic island. The island became organic due to the scarcity of freshwater and the need to ensure toxic pesticides, herbicides and fungicides did not enter the water table thereby ensuring water purity. The purpose is to encourage young people to stay on the island by providing them with an income through farming, in order to maintain a sense of unity amongst the islanders.

I love the smell and the smooth formula of this product, as well as the fact it’s a multi-use product, and I have been using it myself on an eczema flare-up. The brand’s move towards a 100% organic island is beautiful and encouraging young people to stay on the island is wonderful and commendable.
I love the joyful honey scent of this balm and the thick yet smooth texture worked perfectly as a barrier for Charlie’s nappy area. This balm forms a richly moisturising layer over the skin and smells softly sweet and delicious. I started out using this balm as a nappy balm on my son and before long it was being used on grazes, eczema patches and chapped cheeks too. A beautiful, healing and organic, all over baby balm. Highly recommended.
A beautiful, gentle balm that feels good between my fingers and against bub’s bottom. It does a fantastic job of healing nappy rash and soothing a red bottom. Can be used as a skin salve too. I love the story behind where the coconut oil is sourced from.
