They are reusable, non-porous and will soon be packaged in 100% biodegradable corn starch-based material, replacing its existing recyclable cardboard packaging.
As the business grows and looks to use third-party logistics services for all retail, wholesale and online orders, it will provide employment opportunities both locally in Victoria and also in other areas of Australia.
Silicone Wine Glasses Australia are currently organising a recycling program/service with a speciality silicone recycling centre so that customers can return unused products for repurposing.
Ultra-light and portable, my children are obsessed with this straw. Super easy to have in your bag for a play date to a coffee shop- or even works beautifully as an incentive to get my 2-year-old to drink more water. It’s a big hit in our house.
Innovative idea! I like how the business has identified areas where they can improve their social and sustainability services, such as looking into how to collect and recycle the silicone products at end of life (since silicone can not be placed with other recyclables).
This is a great one for the kids: I keep it in my handbag, always ready for a spontaneous smoothie. The kids love its bendiness and call it “the skeleton arm”! Love the recyclable capsule: keeps it clean when bouncing about my handbag.
