Whilst containers are manufactured in China, all other ReCo components are sourced or done locally, including their product partnership with SimplyClean, label printing, washing facility and local logistic partner.
ReCo is a wonderful role model in showing us how to eliminate plastic from our lives by facilitating the use of reusable containers and a pickup and delivery system. Reco containers are so stylish in their brown glass that I have the dishwashing powder jar sitting on my kitchen windowsill.
What’s not to love about this product? As someone who has been spending a fortune on “eco-friendly” dishwashing tablets, this is a cost-effective and much more planet-friendly / non-toxic alternative. Only one tablespoon is needed for a dishwasher run, which means I have 66 loads in one tub. Best of all, I can return the tub and get $2 off my next one. The ingredients are antibacterial and antifungal and my dishes are sparkling. And it’s ALL zero-waste!
At first impression, I was drawn to the lovely size of this dishwashing powder. As a mum with four children, I use my dishwasher at least once if not twice a day and I could see this lasting quite a while in our household. I loved the natural ingredients and found that the powder had dissolved quickly and that all the dishes and glasses were bright and shiny after use.
This is the first dishwasher powder that I’ve used that is biodegradable. It does an amazing job of cleaning. I’ve gotten in the habit of only scraping my dishes before putting in the dishwasher. A rinse before placing the dishes in means that this dishwasher powder cleans effectively.
Great product. Refillable containers with a tried and tested dishwashing powder is an excellent idea. The powder worked very well and the container was excellent for storage. Look forward to refilling!
