Responsible – All the paper used in Biocasa’s Rotofresh product is PEFC certified (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) and FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council). This guarantees the consumer a product whose raw material comes from sources managed in a sustainable way and controlled throughout the entire production chain. It is certified for composting according to UNI EN 13432 (TUV Austria certification).
The paper works very well as baking paper, it is most definitely non-stick – I tested it with one of my stickiest recipes and the food separated from the paper easily. It was also easy to wipe and reuse the paper which I like to do to maximise the use of the product and reduce my waste.
Anything I put in the oven is pretty much put on baking paper as it reduces the cleanup time so dramatically. I love that I can just pop this straight into the compost and I’m not worried about any nasties degassing from the paper in the heat of the oven.
I love that this baking paper is not only bleach-free and devoid of any harmful substances that could potentially leach into both baked goods and soil but that it’s made using paper from sustainable forests.
I love that this baking paper is compostable and made from FSC paper!! ROTOCHEF is still a single-use product but offers a more sustainable option than traditional, bleached baking paper.
