What our experts say…

I love that this product comes in a tin that can be recycled or reused around the home. The consistency is smooth, thick and creamy, more like a moisturiser which I like. It has a gentle scent with SPF50 and is vegan and reef safe.  It felt slightly greasy going on, but I do expect that from most sunscreens.

SunButter Sunscreen is a zero waste sunscreen (packaged in a tin) that has no fragrance and moisturising formula. My skin feels softer after use, and I do not notice a drying effect like I often do with zinc oxide – a perfect replacement for my everyday sunscreen.

Shannon Renee Rafaelli

The packaging is innovative and refreshing. The product seems like it’s doing an excellent job of protecting the skin, being thick and zincy. It smells good.

Alena Turley

I like how this sunscreen is unscented as my children are pretty sensitive to fragrances, especially on their faces. Thick and rich, I like how I can see where I’m applying it to their skin so that I know I haven’t missed a spot. I also love knowing that it won’t wash straight off once the hop in the water!

Emily Fletcher

I’m a huge fan of the zero waste factor (as well as the SPF factor) of this sunscreen – I love the reusable tin. It truly IS butter – feels wonderful between the fingers and glides onto the skin, my kids love dipping in their fingers and applying it themselves. Thanks to coconut oil and Candelilla wax it’s not at all drying like other sunscreens. And a big bonus is that it lasts for up to 4 hours. A whopping 10% of sales go to charity partners.
