Responsible – Black Chicken Remedies is involved in a number of social and environmental activities. In partnership with TerraCycle, they’ve rolled out a recycling program where customers can return their used containers for a $10 e-gift card, and are proudly part of PETA’s ‘Global Beauty Without Bunnies’ Program.
For the last two years in a row, Black Chicken Remedies has also taken part in the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Mighty Acts of Pinkness campaign, where special deodorant paste tubs were created as a pay-it-forward gifting option and a minimum of $2 per sold product was pledged by the brand.
To help consumers better understand the meaning of toxic ingredients used within the beauty industry, Black Chicken Remedies created their own guide to natural beauty as a free online download.
Fresh lemon scent with a light/medium weight consistency. My skin was instantly soothed on application and was still hydrated upon waking. The company also does some great work with Terracylcle, NCBF and PETA, while being environmentally driven.
Being an essential oil devotee, the first and most beautiful thing about this oil is the combination of frankincense, neroli, geranium and myrrh. Not only are these ingredients incredible for skin, but before you go to sleep these are so good for the soul. With the addition of Prickly Pear this is a definite favourite of mine. Black Chicken’s involvement with TerraCycle is awesome. It’s a real benefit for customers to recycle with the gift card and I also admire their involvement in breast cancer research.
A potent organic essential oil blend in a nourishing oil base. It’s amazing the difference two drops can make! Having combination skin, this works best when I follow the instructions and keep to cheeks, forehead and neckline and avoid my nose. My skin starts the day smoother and hydrated.
I’m a big fan of this serum’s earthy scent and how a little goes quite a long way (just 2-3 drops to cover face and neck). Whilst thick in texture, my dry skin absorbs the serum and no greasy residue is left. Skin is noticeably softer and more hydrated the next morning.
